Before the First Flight
Finishing the lessons does not mean anyone can promise you are ready to fly alone. It means you know the questions to ask and the checks that matter. Have an experienced pilot inspect the setup, use calm conditions, and do not rush the first flight.
- Complete TRUST and carry proof.
- Register and mark the airplane if the current rules require it.
- Check Remote ID, airspace, and field permission.
- Follow a recognized CBO’s safety guidelines.
- Confirm the center of gravity, control directions, failsafe, and radio range procedure.
Then go earn the stick time. Smooth patterns, good decisions, and safe landings matter more than how quickly you move to the next airplane.
